LawRedact — Personal Information & Data Processing

Guangzhou Yunzhi Technology Co., Ltd. ("we") operates the LawRedact Android application (com.lawredact.app). We understand how important personal information is to you and will do everything possible to protect it. This app is a mobile document-redaction tool whose core pipeline runs entirely offline on your device; we do not upload document originals.

Local data storage

The following data is kept only on your device:

App preferences

Auto-clean cache, delete-after-send, mask colour, app-lock toggle and similar options — no personal identifiers are included.

Tasks & cache files

Temporary files from imports, captures and screenshots, plus redacted results, live in the app's private directory. Auto clean-up can be enabled from the Profile page.

Diagnostic logs

Runtime status and error information only — no document text.

Device identifier & licensing

For offline trial and activation, the app reads locally:

Android ID

Used only on-device to derive an 8-character device code that binds trial duration and offline license keys. Never uploaded; not used for ads or profiling.

Device model info

Brand and model strings participate in device-code generation only; never uploaded.

Trial records

Trial start/end metadata is stored in the app sandbox and optional local Download/Documents mirror paths to prevent trial abuse. Clear app data to remove.

AI models & processing

AI models ship with the app and run entirely on-device:

Local inference

OCR, NER and redaction all execute on your device. Source text is never uploaded to the Developer.

No memory

Models do not learn from or remember your documents; associated memory is released after each task.

Manual updates

Model and capability updates only ship through explicit app upgrades — there is no silent background download of document content.

What we do not collect

For clarity, we never collect any of the following:

Personal identity

Your name, email, phone number or any other personal identifier

Document content

The documents, photos, screenshots or any text you process

Device tracking

Advertising identifiers, precise geolocation or profiling signals

Behavioural analytics

Usage statistics sent to advertising or analytics platforms

System capabilities & third parties

How the app uses OS capabilities:

Camera / Gallery / Screenshot

Only used for imports and recognition you initiate; processing stays local.

Biometric app lock

Face or fingerprint unlock is handled by the Android biometric framework — no biometric template is stored by the app.

System share

Safe send is performed through the Android share sheet; the receiving app's privacy is governed by its own policy.

No ad SDK

No third-party advertising or social-login SDK is integrated for tracking.

Local-first architecture

Running everything on-device removes the risk of documents ever leaving the phone.

Controlled clean-up

Auto-clean after processing and delete-after-send options are available in Profile.

Storage guidance

We recommend enabling a system lock screen and the in-app lock, and treating sensitive source files with normal device security hygiene.

Your rights

You retain full control over local data:

Review & delete

Clear tasks and cache from within the app at any time, or clear all app data from the system settings.

Uninstall clean-up

Uninstalling the app removes files from the app's private directory according to the platform policy.

No requests needed

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no external data-deletion or data-export request to file with us.
